A Newborn & 2 year old July 1, 2009

This session brought back so many memories…my oldest 2 were the exact same ages apart as these too – mom trying to recover from a C-section while keeping up with a 2 year old and taking care of a newborn – 2 year old not understanding why mommy just can’t pick her up and hold her…so much work to start with.. but what a great blessing in the end…they’ll always have each other to be buddies with!!

If you know me well, you know that I am a very indecisive person (which I hate to admit). I know that I can really drive my husband crazy because of it too! When proofing pictures I can spend so much time trying to decide…does it look better in black & white…should I add a texture…should I crop it some more…and it can go on forever. I couldn’t decide which way I like this picture best, so you get to decide. I’m leaning more with the BW, but post a comment and let me know your thoughts!

A Little Miracle May 10, 2009

“All things are possible for those who believe” Mark 9:23. This is the bible verse that is written on this precious babies wall. And her name is Faith. Do you believe in miracles? She is definitely an example of one! If you know this family, you know that they have experienced miracle after miracle. When I went to take pictures I had all kinds of wonderful help, from carrying my stuff in, to holding my backdrops, to even having to quick pull her pacifer when I was ready to start shooting. Faith has 3 older brothers and 2 older sisters that were adopted by this loving couple. The girls were officially adopted last winter and guess what?…mom found out she was pregnant last summer. I even remember joking with mom when the adoption was final how watch, now she would get pregant. Over the years I have never really understood God’s timing on many things in my life, but later on down the road I was always able to look back and understand that his timing was perfect and mine would have been way off. Thank you for letting me capture this miracle of yours! She will definitely know what a lot of love is!
